Date and Location for Submittals: The City of Litchfield Park invites experienced attorneys to submit proposals to provide public defender services on a contract basis for the City. Sealed proposals marked “PUBLIC DEFENDER” will be accepted at the Litchfield Park City Hall, 214 W. Wigwam Boulevard, Litchfield Park, Arizona 85340, until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, MST, at which time proposals will be publicly opened, read aloud, and tabulated in the Conference Room of City Hall. Proposals received after that time and date will be considered non-responsive. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. Contract Summary: The City of Litchfield Park contracts with an attorney to serve as the City Public Defender. The Public Defender will be an independent contractor and must provide its own offices, staff and overhead. The contract term will be two (2) years. The services will be required only on an as-needed basis. Any attorney responding to this Notice must be an attorney qualified to practice law in the State of Arizona and must agree to the terms and conditions included in the proposed contract.
Selection Criteria: Any attorney submitting a Proposal in response to this Notice must, at a minimum, meet the following criteria:
Compensation: The selected City Public Defender will be compensated at a rate as agreed between the City and the Public Defender.
