Litchfield Park elections are no longer held in the spring. The State Legislature mandated that elections are to be held in the fall.Seats for election in 2018 (each is a four-year term):
1 – Mayor
3 – Council seats
Candidate packets are available at City Hall from the City Clerk. If you wish to become a candidate, it is best to call the City Clerk’s Office at 623-935-5033 and schedule an appointment. Please allow sufficient time (approximately 1 hour) to review the documents. The deadline to file the required paperwork is Wednesday, May 30, 2018. If you are not currently a registered voter, or you wish to change your current registration, the last date to register for the Primary Election is Monday, July 30, 2018.
If you are registered to vote in a party other than Democratic or Republican, you will have an opportunity to decide which party’s ballot you want to cast in the Primary Election for county, state and federal offices. Maricopa County Elections Department will send a notice before the election and you can choose the party’s ballot you want. Otherwise, you will receive a ballot only for the Litchfield Park Primary Election.
