The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the three state universities, Maricopa Community Colleges and Thunderbird School of Global Management to support, research, innovation and entrepreneurial opportunties.  The objective is to partner with the educational organizations in creating a sustainable economy.  ASU and UA recently were second for a grant that would have brought millions for a bio-fuels project.  One of the reasons they may have lost the grant was because of no letters of support from local government.
