These opportunities could include relocating to Arizona, expanding an existing business, or learning more about the region to help local residents start a new business.

Wigwam Resort Revitalization


  • Wigwam is an AAA Four-Diamond historic resort, built in 1929
  • Recently purchased by Valley businessman and sports executive Jerry Colangelo
  • Multi-million dollar revitalization with new entrance, pools, gardens and community courtyard
  • Kids’ zone features 25-foot tower with 2-twisting waterslides and child splash water fountain
  • Award-winning celebrity chef Chris Bianco, behind the nationally acclaimed Pizzeria Bianco, opened his second restaurant, Litchfield’s, at the Wigwam Resort
  • Colangelo is in talks with sports groups throughout the country to invite athletes and their families to stay at the Wigwam while training in the valley
