Our Philosophy


Discover. Experience. Learn. Our Arizona state licensed preschool program provides many opportunities for children to discover, learn and explore. The Pre-K learning environment uses a progressive theme-model and literacy-based curriculum including story time, art, science, Spanish, creative social play, music/movement, small and large motor skill development, and alpha numeric concepts. Our program offers 1:6 teacher to student ratios, a morning class for 3 years of age, morning or afternoon classes for children 4 and 5 years of age, and a summer bridge program for children 4 and 5 years of age enrolling in August public, private or charter school kindergarten classes.

Preschool Classes (August - May)

 
The 3 and 4 year old Adventures in Learning class meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 11am. The curriculum focuses on social interacting through shared story time, creative play and group activities including art, science, Spanish, music, and movement. Students are encouraged to interact with other children and adults. Monthly tuition rates are $146 for Litchfield Park residents and $183 for non-residents. A $40 annual materials fee is due at the time of registration.

The 4 and 5 year old ABC Explorers classes meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday offering 8am - 11am morning and 11:45am - 2:45pm afternoon sessions. The curriculum encourages students to develop their fine motor, listening and social skills. Group times and circle times include opportunities for singing, art, science, Spanish, music, movement, creative play, stories, and sharing. We focus on introductory levels of the alphabet, numbers and phonemic awareness. Monthly tuition rates are $180 for Litchfield Park residents and $225 for non-residents. A $40 annual materials fee is due at the time of registration.

Details on each preschool class are accessible through the City's online registration website.  Registration is in-person only at the Litchfield Park Recreation Center lobby, 100 S Old Litchfield Road. Kindergarten Summer Bridge Program (June & July sessions)


Our Kindergarten Summer Bridge Program is designed for 4 and 5 year old children entering kindergarten in August. The program goal is kindergarten readiness as outlined in the Arizona Department of Education's Arizona School Readiness Framework. The progressive theme-model and literacy-based curriculum will include letter knowledge, print and phonological awareness, and emergent writing skills. Skill development will include physical, academic and socialization, language, fine and gross motor, math, reading readiness, self care, and social-emotional. The program assesses student skill strengths and weaknesses, creates and implements an Individual Skills Set Program. Bridge the gap with either or both 3-week AM or PM sessions that are offered in June and July, Monday - Thursday, meeting 12 times per session, $193 for Litchfield Park residents and $242 for non-residents. A $20 per session materials fee is due at the time of registration. Let's get kindergarten ready!

Enrollment
Preschool Classes

 
Our academic school year begins the first week of August and concludes in May. We accept new enrollments any time during the school year providing there is enrollment availability. Parents are required to provide a copy of their child's birth certificate and immunization record prior to the first day of class. Online registration is not available for the August - May Preschool classes. Parents are encouraged to visit the City's online registration website for class details and contact the Preschool Teacher or Preschool Director at 623-935-9040 with program questions. Prerequisite: Teacher approval is required for all enrollments. Call 623-935-9040 to schedule a meeting with the Preschool Teacher that includes a preschool tour. 

Kindergarten Summer Bridge Program

 
Student enrollment for the Kindergarten Summer Bridge Program is available online, in the lobby, 100 S Old Litchfield Rd., and over the phone, 623-935-9040. Registration for the summer program does not require teacher approval. Eligible students must be entering kindergarten in August.
